How marketplace escrow works
Guarantees and disputes · updated 19.08.2026
Escrow means the marketplace holds the buyer's money until receipt of the goods is confirmed.
Stages
- Payment. The amount leaves the buyer's balance and moves to "frozen". The seller sees the order but does not have the money.
- Delivery. The seller hands over the goods and marks the order as fulfilled.
- Confirmation. The buyer checks the goods and confirms — the money moves to the seller's balance.
- Auto-close. If the buyer stays silent, the order closes automatically once the section's inspection period expires.
Refund
The seller can refund at any moment before the order closes. The refund reaches the buyer's balance instantly.
